I've added a new link on the side of my blog. You can now view these postings with any RSS news reader. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It's become the only way for me to gather all of the news that I have to stay abreast of to do my job. All I have to do is open up Opera (my web browser) and run through all of the news that has been downloaded from the websites and other blogs that I use to get info. For a quick starter guide to it check out this link. You have to get a news reader and then click on the FeedBurner link.

I actually have a couple of updates. It's been busy at work, so I haven't had much time to write anything.

About a week ago, I passed my GIAC Security Essentials Certification. So, I'm good for another year.

Just found out the other day that they cancelled one of my classes at FCC. This means that I'm only teaching my Intro to Linux class this semester. Although, I think I need some more people to sign up for it. There are currently only 10 enrolled in the class and they like to have 12+.

I finally upgraded my Linux box at home to Fedora Core 2. I haven't had much time to play with it or customize it. So far, I haven't seen any major problems. I had heard about the problems with the dual booting with XP and read this article to avoid the problem. I followed the instructions and have been dual booting XP and FC2 with no problems. I decided to go with a completely new install instead of upgrading, just to make sure that I didn't introduce any problems from previous installs/customizations. I'll keep looking it over and give more thoughts soon.
